OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE …

To love God is to serve others.  To be a part of Crossover is to be a part of a fellowship of believers with many opportunities for worship, evangelism, and ministry service.  The Word of God does not separate the loving worship of God and loving service to others.  To love God is to serve others and to serve others reflects a love for God.  It is our prayer that you become a part of Crossover's passion to love God, love people, and serve others.

Why serve?

1. God chooses to use people to accomplish His work.

2. God empowers people to do His work.  God has given each person a unique set of gifts and talents.  Sometimes they are obvious, for instance singing or painting.  Other times, the gifts that God gives us are less obvious, such as patience or being a great listener.  God is intentional in His distribution of the gifts. He planned it so we fit together in a way so that each person's contribution matters.

3. God sees every ministry as important.  The part each person has to do is paralleled to the interdependent working of all the parts of the human body. Just as every body part plays an integral part in the whole, so every person in a church has an important roll.  Verses on these truths can be found in I Corinthians 12, Hebrews 6:10, I Peter 4:10 and other places.

Do you long to make a difference in another person's life? Do you want to live more generously so that others can see God in you? Are you looking for ways to serve something outside yourself? At Crossover, we believe that a desire to serve is perhaps the greatest sign that one is growing more and more like Jesus. God has given each of us gifts to help build the church and extend his love and compassion to a needy world.

If you would like to serve, click here to download a “servant packet.”  Fill out the forms and drop them off at the Welcome Center.  One of our pastors or ministry directors will then contact you and “plug you in.”

Areas of service include hospitality, nursery, teaching, choir, band, food service, and many others.

BE ON MISSION …

It is the desire for Crossover Community Church to impact the world for Christ, to engage every member to be on mission with God in obedience to His command, to make disciples of all peoples and to influence others to do the same.  Our church is actively fulfilling the command in Acts 1:8 to share the gospel in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.  Crossover is actively involved in not only supporting missionaries, but in being on mission each and every day.  Which begins by inviting people to church where they will hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Crossover Mission Priorities ...

1. Prayer:  We purpose to pray. We are committed to ask the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the fields. We covenant with our partners to pray for them.

2. Lordship:  We purpose to disciple people. We want to help Christians in their spiritual growth and in their relationship with Christ. We believe spiritual maturity brings obedience to His commands, especially concerning the Great Commission.

3. Training:  We purpose to be ready to share the Gospel through a clear presentation.  We utilize the Way of the Master Training Program to make sure that each member is equipped with a simple, yet clear way to present the Gospel.

4. Stewardship:  We subscribe to hands-on ministry among all nations as opposed to being just a supporter of overseas programs and agencies. We want to walk as our Lord walked and give as He gave. It's important to use personal resources for His kingdom.

5. Relationship: We pledge to reproduce ourselves through church planting and other long-term relationships in those areas of the world where God directs us.

6. Partnership:  We find out where God and His people are at work in the world and we join them there. We put "feet" to our commitments and seek out opportunities to be prayerfully and personally involved in many parts of the world where God leads us.

Mission Partnerships ...

The foundational structure for Missions at Crossover is Strategic Mission Partnerships (SMPs). Missions through God ordained relationships is what we at Crossover pray for, what we plan for, and what we do around the World. The key to these relationships is a movement of God in hearts, which brings a long term commitment, sometimes for life. SMPs develop when a group of people in the church has so bonded with a specific mission field that we make a long-term covenant and commitment to become a vital and strategic partner with that field. These relationships become covenant partnerships where our people and our partners around the world prayerfully and mutually commit to working together.

Some of our current partnerships include:

· Ethan Rigdon (Brazil)

· Liberty Fellowship for Church Planting

· Copper Basin Crisis Center

· Safe Choice Women’s Center

· Jamaica Link
